JUMPERS FOR GOALPOSTS
We host Jumpers For Goalposts at the Alley Cafe in Nottingham on the third Thursday of every month.
The idea behind Jumpers For Goalposts (which was set up by our friends I Dress Myself and continued by the marvellous Shadowplay Fanzine, before we took the reins) is simple. We play some records, a musical act play live and everyone takes part in a creative competition. This usually involves fuzzy felt and crayons and bad jokes about celebrities, all in a bid to win one of the MEGA PRIZES (usually some charity shop gem or a bit of tat that we had lying round the house…recent prizes have included a bottle of rum sellotaped to a diary, and a prosthetic hand holding a wasp).
It is the most fun you can have on a Thursday night.
